TOP-3 delicious products that will help strengthen the immune system and protect yourself from flu and colds

It is always necessary to take care of your health, especially in the autumn-winter period.

Honey, raspberries and sea buckthorn will help to strengthen the immune system and protect yourself from colds. Experts from the Useful Program talk show on Inter, nutritionist Boris Skachko, food quality and safety expert Yulia Sliva, told how these products are useful for our health, how to choose and use them correctly.

The main advantage of honey is its composition, which helps to replenish the supply of nutrients: carbohydrates, minerals and trace elements. In addition, honey contains organic acids, vitamin C and B vitamins. This product has antibacterial properties, stimulates digestion, strengthens the immune system, and is also a popular cold remedy that weakens viruses.

It is important to remember: honey cannot stand high temperatures. When heated above 50 ° C, it loses almost all its useful properties. The consumption rate for an adult is up to 50 g per day.

  • How to choose honey?

Natural honey should not be too runny. The string of honey is stringy, it pours like a "little book"; a drop of honey does not spread on the surface, but keeps its shape. A liter jar of real honey cannot weigh less than 1 kg 400 g.

A quality product should not contain "flakes", visible impurities, it should not delaminate. If, for example, there is a liquid at the top of the jar and a dense consistency at the bottom, most likely the honey was either heated or mixed together from different seasons.

Most often, liquid honey is counterfeited, but crystallized honey is more difficult to counterfeit. Therefore, crystallization from autumn is to a certain extent a confirmation of the naturalness of honey.

Raspberries contain salicylic acid, which helps reduce body temperature by acting as a diaphoretic. Raspberry jam is not only an antipyretic, but also a tonic and restorative agent. Therefore, it is recommended as a prophylaxis for all viral infections.
